“A Day in the Life” of… a Social Worker for SAFE

I’m in the SAFE Offices two days a week advocating and assisting clients, however the bulk of my time is spent at a local middle school as part of a partnership between SAFE and the school. Administrators requested that we consider providing an on-site counselor specifically to work with military connected at-risk kids. Many of these teens have one or both parents who have been deployed multiple times into combat zones.
